Kevin Venable enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Monarchs after 15
years in the industrial & architectural coatings industry. Coach Venable was raised in Oxnard, California, where he attended Channel Islands H.S. and is a former 6’6’ starting forward for Ventura College where he built a very impressive college resume before suffering a career ending knee injury. His accolades include First team All-Conference at the completion of the 1985 season as a freshman as well as serving as an important piece of the 1987 state championship team.
Venable currently resides in the San Fernando Valley and is married with four children. The coach brings the green and gold strong fundamental skills, a passion for defense, and a commanding presence.
