Excitement on the Hardwood!!!!

The men’s basketball team began the 2011/2012 season opening with a 0-4 record, competing hard with leads in all four games, ultimately dropping each of them by seven points or less including an overtime loss at home to Antelope Valley College. In their next home contest the Monarch’s out fought Ventura College in another overtime battle; beginning their winning ways. Since then the team has put together an impressive record of 8-1 in their last 9 games, including winning the Glendale College Tournament Championship. Led by the sophomore trio of point guard Alex Strauther, shooting guard Marcus Johnson and the athletic, defensive minded wing Javion Garner; the basketball program has posted impressive wins.  GO MONARCHS!!
