The Associated Student Union (ASU) is an excellent way to become involved at Los
Angeles Valley College. You can join a club or develop valuable leadership skills by becoming an officer. The Associated Student Union consists of two branches: the Executive Council and the Interclub Council. Both councils work together to create a student-centered environment at Valley College. There are many opportunities to make a difference by applying for an Executive Council office or joining a club. When you pay your $10.00 ASU semester membership you are helping foster a positive learning environment at Valley College. In addition, you benefit as a member.
HOW DO YOU BENEFIT?
- You can enjoy the many student-centered events, activities and programs that the ASU provides throughout the year.
- You can join a student club or create a new one.
- You are able to serve on the ASU Executive Council. (If elected and you are eligible)
- ASU also provides the students with the Textbook Exchange Programs. This is an online service for students to buy, sell or trade textbooks.
The Associated Student Union also sponsors and/or provides additional funding for the following:

- Astronomy Department
- Campus Concert series
- Cultural Events
- Deans Reception
- Earth Science Department
- Commencement Ceremony
- Homecoming Events
- Scholarship Awards Night
- Wind Ensemble

- Textbook exchange service
